Divi Google Review Carousel module for Divi Builder displays Google reviews in a rotating carousel format. This module helps showcase customer feedback directly on your Divi website, providing social proof and enhancing credibility. It pulls real-time reviews and ratings but limits the display to the most recent or relevant ones, keeping the content fresh and engaging for visitors.
Create a Google Places API key
- Go to your Google Console
- Click the ‘Create Project’ or ‘Select Project’ button
- Create new project or select existing
- On the project page click ‘ENABLE APIS AND SERVICES’
- Type ‘Places API’ in the search area
- Select the first result ‘Places API’ and click ‘ENABLE’ button
- On the ‘Places API’ page select the ‘Credential’ tab and the ‘Create credential’ / ‘API key’ option
- Copy the created API key, paste it to this setting, and save
How do you find Google Place ID?
Google Reviews module requires the Google Places API key to display reviews of Google Places.
It is very easy to get the Google Place ID of your business:
Step 1 – Visit the link here.
Step 2 – Enter your business location. A location drop pin will display your Place ID.
Step 3 – Copy the Place ID: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and you will need to paste it in the widget under the Google Place ID.

Google Places API Module Reveals Top Five Most Relevant Reviews
The module is designed to showcase the information retrieved from Google’s Places API, specifically focusing on the five most helpful reviews rather than the latest ones. Users can easily access and evaluate the most pertinent feedback, aiding them in making informed decisions about a particular location or establishment. This feature ensures that the displayed reviews prioritize relevance and usefulness, providing a more meaningful snapshot of public opinions.
I have error messages about the Google API key.
Please make sure that you correctly created the Google Places API key with the Places API library and without any restrictions (IP or Referrer). It should look like AIzaSyB3k4oWDJPF
Got new reviews, but these do not show in the module.
The module can display what Google returns in its Places API. It is usually the 5 Most Helpful (not newest) reviews.
Add Google Review module
Add Section
Go to the page and click Enable Visual Builder. Click Add new section and choose the row.
Add module
Click (+) icon “Add new module”, then “Insert module” will appear. From this section go to the search bar and search “Google Review”. Select “Google Review”.
Settings and Options
In the Content Tab find the Google Review toggle. Input here the “Place ID”
Design the Google Review
After that, a layout will automatically appear. In the setting section, you will find three different tabs Content, Design, and Advanced. Choose your content, elements, and layouts from this setting section.
Responsive Settings
- Content > Carousel Settings
- Slides to Show > Click “Responsive Icon” (e.g. a smartphone icon).
- Set the value for each of the Devices.
